Join us in congratulating this year’s winners of the NCCFCU ‘Do More’ Scholarship Contest!
As a community-based credit union, we strive to do more for our members and the greater Wayne County community. The ‘Do More’ scholarship contest was established in 2015 to do just that. We wanted to provide students with funds to help them achieve their academic goals, and promote financial literacy they can carry with them throughout their young adult life.
Each applicant was required to attend a ‘Financial Life Skills’ class taught by NCCFCU. Students learned about spending wisely, saving, loans, credit scores and more!
Not only does this scholarship seek to provide students with financial advice, the essay portion of the contest offers an opportunity for them to express how they can use their unique gifts and talents to positively impact the community.
This year, we are honored to award the $750 ‘Do More’ Scholarship to four incredible Wayne County students.
